Rainbow Birthday Wishes

Toni here with you today.  Hello!  I've been using the Lawn Fawn Simple Road Border dies regularly since I got them and was thinking about ways to stretch their use. They have a lovely curve which I realized would be perfect as a rainbow!

For the background of my card, I create a mask using one of the Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Border dies; these come with 3 different cloud borders so really versatile. I sponged the edges of the mask using Distress Ink Tumbled Glass.

For the rainbow, I used the direct to paper technique and colored up a few swatches using Distress Inks including Distress Ink Squeezed LemonadeMermaid LagoonCandied Apple, and Tumbled Glass.  I cut each using the Lawn Fawn Simple Road Border die which I mounted in ROYGBV order on Scor-Tape. I cut this panel using a scalloped rectangle die (a good substitute would be Gina Marie Designs Scalloped Stitched Nested Rectangle Dies). I spattered them with water using a Zig H2O Detail Watercolor Brush for added interested.

To finish the card, I used Avery Elle sets for the unicorn, hearts and sentiments.

Are there other ways you can think of to use the Lawn Fawn Simple Road Border dies? I have one more (to date) that you can check out Wednesday with the start of our next challenge.  Hope to see you there!
