Bicycle for Me and My Cat

Toni here with a really simple (I swear) slider card.

First, I stamped and masked the Lawn Fawn Bicycle Built for You girl and her bicycle. I used the Scan n Cut to cut it out as a unit after I colored it up. I used Perfectly Plaid Rainbow 6x6 paper for her dress, the leaves on the tree from the Leafy Tree Backdrop die and the hill. I LOVE plaid!  I cut the Simple Road Border die (top layer only) then diecut it again with the coordinating Slide on Over die to create the channel. See this post for a pic of another card using these sets in a similar manner. I decided to work up a little sunset/sunrise background using Distress Inks splattered with a bit of water. Now the fun part!

I glued down the plaid hill and tree. Then I glued down the slider road channel interior to the base of the card using the Simple Road diecut as a template. I added a thin strip of foam tape to both edges of the road before inserting the sliding mechanism and adhering it down. Oh! Don't forget to stamp that sentiment before you add the road! Trust me. I used a combo of sentiments from Lawn Fawn Bicycle Built for You and Jump for Joy to create mine. Finally I glued down the leaves and added the cat (as an afterthought).  I hope you'll give this type of card a try!
